Resource System & Production Chains

The resource system will be fairly complex (as apposed to the "traditional" few generic resources you use for everything), using your workforce you can collect basic stuff like earth, wood, rock, metal ore, etc from the world and process it further.

I'm not going to list everything I have in mind, but here's a few examples of what end product you want and the production chain you're going to have to go though.

Chainmail

to make a chainmail you're going to have to have an armorer(citizen with a job in a special building), provide him with iron rings(or whatever metal you want the chainmail to be) and let him work (the work building itself will require resources of its own to run, in this case only tools)

besides building the armorer workplace (and all the other workplaces), to get the iron rings you're going to have to have a blacksmith, provide him with iron (along with fuel and tools to run the forge) and let him work on that

to get the iron you need some form of raw iron (lots of ways to find it in nature), collected by a citizen in a mine or whatever and processed by another worker at a smelter (some overlap here with the blacksmith, but whatever)

Wood Cart

cart from woodworker with wood planks (plus tools)
wood planks from woodworker with logs (plus tools)
logs from forestry (tools)

Clay Bricks

bricks from brickmaker with clay and water (plus tools and fuel for the oven)
water from various forms of water collection
clay from gatherer in claypit with tools

Hope that makes it clear enough what I'm aiming at, don't be afraid if you hate micro management, you will be able to automate everything and just ask for an end product.
